Made New by God
-- Luke F.
No matter what you’ve done or how far you’ve wandered away from Him. He will never turn His back on you.
Like the prodigal son in Luke 15:11–32
Just come as you are, broken and damaged, and He will bandage your wounds and make you new
(Revelation 21:5).
At the age of five, my parents introduced me to Jesus. I had a genuine love for God and a real relationship with Him. But after my first wife was unfaithful to me and I went through a divorce, I became very hurt and distanced myself from God. Instead of running to Him with my hurt, I ran away from Him.
Second marriage failed as well
I eventually went down a road of online dating and sexual sin which carried into my second marriage. That marriage failed, too, due to my lack of being a good spiritual leader and my continued sexual sin. After my family fell apart and my second marriage failed, I almost lost my kids and my business. Satan was telling me that I was useless and would never recover from all my mistakes. I was still dating online and met a lot of women. I was lonely, hopeless, and lost.

Rededicated my life to Jesus
Eventually, I realized how far I had wandered from the Lord, and I rededicated my life to Jesus. He began to heal me and give me hope. He truly was waiting to extend grace and forgiveness to me, not condemnation. He left the ninety-nine sheep to find the one that had lost its way—ME! Today I share my faith with anyone who will listen. Know that no matter how many times you have failed, God still loves you. He never gives up on you! Proverbs 24:16 (csb) says that “though a righteous person falls seven times, he will get up”! Why? Because God picks him up!

Today, I’m a bodybuilder, I have a beautiful family and children.
Truly the Lord can use anyone’s life and is never done with us if we will surrender to Him. I am healed of sexual promiscuity and sin, and I help other men break away from sin and surrender to Jesus. God uses my prodigal path as a way to reach others who are wandering away. All glory to Him!
Take away
Friends, know that you are never too far gone for God to rescue. No matter what you’ve done or how far you’ve wandered away from Him, He will never turn His back on you. Like the prodigal son in Luke 15:11–32, you might feel like your heavenly Father would never accept you because of all the terrible things you’ve done. But that’s Satan lying to you. Your heavenly Father is watching . . . waiting for you to come back home and come back to Him. He’s ready to clean you up and put a new robe on you; He’s ready to put a ring on your finger and sandals on your feet. He and all the angels in heaven are ready to throw you a party when you return!

Just come as you are, broken and damaged, and He will bandage your wounds and make you new (Revelation 21:5). He’s ready to make you into a “new creation” (II Corinthians 5:17 nkjv) and free you from every bondage and every sin. Remember, if you humbly “confess [your] sins, He is faithful and just to forgive [you your] sins and to cleanse [you] from all unrighteousness” (I John 1:9 nkjv). God is waiting with open arms for you to come back to Him. Don’t wait one more moment! He’s ready to welcome you home.
